NSGDatacom
Launches The Nx2205D Integrated VoIP And Data Access Gateway at
TelecomNext in Las Vegas
CHANTILLY, VA — March 20, 2006 — NSGDatacom today
is launching the Netrix Network Exchange Nx2205D integrated VoIP
and data access gateway at TelecomNext in Las Vegas. The Nx2205D
product will be showcased in our booth #2214. This gateway provides
network managers the ability to add high quality digital voice
services to a multi-service network, making the convergence of
voice and data a simple and affordable reality.
Additionally, with the excellent bandwidth efficiency of the
Nx2205D, it is ideally suited for disaster recovery of terrestrial
T1/E1 networks via satellite link. In the event of failure, the
Nx2205D automatically compresses and routes the voice and data
traffic over the backup satellite link. Once the primary link
is restored the Nx2205D will automatically reroutes the traffic
over it.
The Nx2205D is a voice compression switch and data router providing
for the convergence of voice/data LAN and WAN applications. It
can connect up to four full or fractional T1/E1 circuits. Individual
voice channels are compressed and merged with other data streams
for transmission over public or private packet-based networks,
including Frame Relay and IP.
Rich Yalen, CEO of NSGDatacom said, “The Nx2205D will allow
organizations to reduce their operating costs while maintaining
the high quality voice and data which they require. The Nx2205D
will also allow organizations to cost effectively back up terrestrial
T1s/E1s with satellite links, where in the past, the cost of back
up satellite links may have been prohibitive.”
The Nx2205D is part of the industry leading Nx2200 family of
voice and data gateway products that are currently utilized and
relied upon for many critical voice and data applications. NSGDatacom’s
customers using this family of products include U.S. Military
personnel stationed in the Middle East, satellite providers, a
major global package delivery company, major airports in China
and many other enterprise, carrier, and government organizations.
